Spam Filter Express automatically optimizes its built in spam filters by learning from your incoming and outgoing email. Each time you send or receive messages, Spam Filter Express analyzes the messages, and learns what constitutes spam and not spam based on the content in your messages. After time, with this part of the learning process complete,

Upon opening Outlook, Outlook Express, you can see a Spam Filter Express Toolbar like this:

When you click the Spam Filter Express toolbar button, there will be a pull-down menu as follows.

With this menus you may see the copyright information from the About menu, choose the Options for the program from the Options menu, train the Spam Filter Engine with the ‘Train From Spam Folder’ or ‘Train From Good Folders’ menus. You can also filter folders to classify your emails as legitimate emails or Spam emails with the ‘Filter Current Folder’ or ‘Filter Folders’ menus. The Empty ‘Spam Folder menu will move all spam emails to the Deleted Items folder. The Launch Training Wizard menu will automatically train the Spam Filter Engine from a step by step wizard.

There are five items on the Options window.

(1). From the General option, we can configure the actions when we manually marks messages as spam or recover email messages as valid emails.

(2). Filter option

We can move the slide on the window to set preferred Spam Filtering Level. We can choose from Highest, High, Medium, Low and Lowest levels for the Spam Filter Engine. The default and recommended value is High.

We can Add, Delete the allowed emails. We can also import the email address automatically from the Outlook or Outlook Express contact list.

(3) (4). Blocked /Allowed List

We can Add, Delete the Allowed/Blocked emails. For the Allowed list, we can also import the email address automatically from the Outlook or Outlook Express contact list.

(5). Statistics

This window shows the statistics information of the Spam Filter engine such as the total emails received, Total Spam emails, Total valid emails, Manually blocked emails, Manually recovered emails and the Accuracy report.
